I was so excited when this mama said no girly pinks or purples for her baby girls newborn photoshoot at my Ann Arbor photography studio. Don’t get me wrong…I love pink and purple! I love changing it up and using some less traditional “girl” colors, such as yellow, green, blue, etc.

My name is Ashley and I have an unhealthy obsession with dressing babies up in bunny and bear outfits! I can’t explain it…I just LOVE it! I mean, how long can you really get away with dressing up your baby like this?? Before you know it, this guy will be calling you “bruh” and giving you all of the eye rolls. While I love cute little animal outfits, I have many other options as well! As part of your Toledo Ohio Baby Photo Session experience with Sweet Bloom Photography, you can gain full access to my client closet. I offer a large selection of adorable outfits for your little one from 6-12 months old. I have lots of little suspenders and overalls, the cutest rompers, and more! I know how hard it is to find photoshoot outfits for baby boys…but I have you covered! When you enter my prop room, you will have the opportunity to go through all of my photo session outfits and choose what you like best.
This baby boy was in that “in between” age when he isn’t a newborn anymore but also isn’t a big 1 year old birthday boy yet either. I call this the “sitter milestone” and it is actually my absolute favorite age to photograph at my Sylvania Ohio photography studio (aside from newborns…newborn will forever have my heart). A lot of clients tend to skip this stage and I feel like that is such a shame! Don’t skip the 6-9 month milestone! At this age, they are happy, chubby little balls of sunshine and smiles - plus, they aren’t usually mobile yet! It’s just so much easier to get adorable pictures when your sweet baby just sits there and grins, grabs their toes, and gives me all the baby laughs…it gets really interesting once we’re chasing your little one around, PHEW!

With every Toledo Ohio newborn photo session, I always send a questionnaire to all of my clients. I love to get to know your personal preferences so that I can design the whole photography session around your favorite colors, props, etc. Sometimes clients want me to have complete creative control and I am totally okay to do that as well! I understand that some don’t really know what looks best or are just really open to anything because they trust my knowledge and expertise - so I am happy to take the wheel and choose everything, if that’s what you prefer. No matter what, we always go through everything together and make sure you are happy with everything. It’s no problem at all to switch out for a different color, prop, etc…these are your photos and I want you to be absolutely in love with them!

Christmas Card Minis feature a beautiful holiday set adorned with Christmas trees and a beautiful couch. You can dress up and go very fancy or just keep it casual.
If you are looking for a quick & easy Christmas Mini Session for your family in the Toledo Ohio area, I would love to capture those memories for you! All holiday sessions will take place in Sylvania, Ohio which is in the NW Ohio & Toledo Ohio area and only 40 minutes from Ann Arbor and about 60 minutes from Detroit. Aside from The Santa Experience (this one is just for the kids!), all Christmas Mini Sessions are open to families.

It’s the busiest time of year for us photographers - it can be difficult finding the time to sit down & edit when your days are spent shooting more sessions than usual! It didn’t help that I was out of town almost all of last week…plus, trying to get my holiday sets designed & photographed between it all (booking opens on Sunday - info to come, hang tight!). If you’re waiting on a gallery, I promise it’s coming ASAP!
Despite the craziness this time of year brings, I’m beyond grateful to be busy! It’s especially awesome when clients return year and after year…like this little cutie! I photographed her big sisters newborn photos and I was so honored to get to photograph their new addition! Isn’t she scrumptious??
I am often asked when is the best time to schedule and book a Toledo Ohio newborn photography session? I recommend booking your session while still in the 2nd trimester. Due to the time required for newborn photoshoots, I am only able to accept a limited number of due dates each month. Since baby isn’t likely to arrive exactly on their due date, I hold space on my calendar for around that time. Once your baby has made their arrival, I just ask that you send me a message when you’re all home and we will then set a date & time for the session at my Sylvania Ohio photography studio. I photograph newborn photo sessions when your baby is between 5-21 days old - this is when they are still in that sleepy, squishy, curled up stage. It goes by in the blink of an eye, so I want to photograph this short phase for you to always remember!

One of the most common questions I get about Toledo Ohio Maternity Photoshoots, is when is the best time to schedule them? I suggest maternity photography sessions take place when you are approximately 27-35 weeks pregnant. This is typically when you have a nice, round belly and you are still feeling pretty good. That last month of pregnancy can be really tough! Swelling can set in and you may not be feeling great, either. You also don’t want to schedule them too early—we want to show off that baby bump!
I have a few maternity dresses available for use in my client closet. I also send out a list of recommendations of where to shop for your own dress - I am here to help you the whole way! I love helping my clients plan their Toledo Ohio Maternity Photo Sessions!

To say I have been busy the last few weeks would be the understatement of the century! In case you haven’t been following along on IG stories, I have moved in a new photography studio space located in Sylvania Ohio - YAY! I’m also in the midst of busy season, designing sets for Toledo Ohio Christmas Mini Sessions (those will be announced this week!), and trying to play catch up on editing a million galleries. I estimate I will sleep again some time in December!
I am working on this baby girls 1st birthday photoshoot and there’s just noooo way I couldn’t share these beautiful photos! We photographed these on their family Flower Farm, Apollo’s Basket. It is the most GORGEOUS location in the NW Ohio area - perfect for family photos!
I also had the pleasure of photographing this sweet girls newborn session at my Sylvania Ohio photography studio! She was a gorgeous newborn and she’s now an even more stunning baby girl! Having the opportunity to watch these families grow is one of the absolute best things about being a newborn photographer in Toledo Ohio! I just love photographing them year after year after year…gives me all the warm and fuzzies!
The great thing about being a newborn client is that it “grandfathers” you into being a forever client — what does this mean? Well, I don’t advertise sessions for little ones past their 1st birthday, however, I make a special exception for my newborn clients. If you are a past newborn client, I am happy to photograph them for their birthday milestones year and after!
