When you book a newborn photoshoot, you are taking the moments of this fleeting time and turning them in a lasting memory. Soon, the intoxicating newborn smell will fade away, your baby will no longer do that curled up leg scrunch, and those sleepy milk drunk smiles will turn into wide eyed giggles.
From the moment you walk into my professional Sylvania Ohio newborn photography studio, I take great care in providing a relaxed & stress-free client experience. My goal with every session is to capture memories and create timeless art for your family to cherish for years to come.
With over 12 years of newborn photography experience, I have photographed more babies than I can even count. I am professionally trained to safely pose your baby — You can rest assured knowing your precious little one is always in safe hands while at my studio!

the experience
As part of your newborn session experience, sessions are stylized with complete access to my extensive collection of unique props, the cutest hats & headbands, cozy wraps, and a variety of color options. Just bring baby and I will take care of the rest! A questionnaire will be sent so that I can stylize your session with all of your preferences in mind.
Newborn sessions take place at 11am on weekday mornings (Mon-Fri) in my Sylvania Ohio photography studio.
Since the actual arrival of your little one is typically unpredictable, I hold space on my calendar for around the time of your due date. Once baby has arrived, we will then schedule your session to take place between 5-21 days old.
Upon booking, you will be sent a Prep Guide that is filled with helpful info about what to expect and everything you need to know to plan for your session.

The earlier the better! In order to ensure a spot in my schedule, I recommend booking while you are still in your 2nd trimester. I always do my best to fit in last minute inquiries, however, I am not always able to do so.

Once your baby has made their arrival, I ask that you send me a message after you are all home & settled. We will then set a date & time for your newborn session to take place when your baby is between 5-21 days old. This is when they are still in that sweet, sleepy, curled up, milk drunk phase - it goes by in the blink of an eye!
Due to my weekends being filled well in advance with maternity & milestone sessions, newborn sessions are only scheduled on weekdays (Mon-Fri) at 11am. Please be prepared to plan accordingly.

You can expect to be at the studio for about 2-3 hours for Signature (full) newborn sessions. Swaddled (mini) newborn sessions are typically about 1 hour.
I never rush a session and we will take as many breaks as needed for feedings & soothing.

All sessions include your gallery of beautifully edited digital images to download. Sessions are all-inclusive, meaning you don’t have to choose your favorites or make any further purchases.
Signature (full) sessions typically result in anywhere from 50-80 finished images to download from your gallery. Swaddled (mini) sessions typically result in anywhere from 20-30 finished images to download from your gallery.
If desired, you can purchase professional grade products such as wood photo blocks, fine art albums, heirloom memory boxes and much more directly from your gallery.

Parents and/or siblings are more than welcome to be included in the photos with Signature (full) sessions! However, Swaddled (mini) sessions are of your baby only, no exceptions.

Absolutely! I have a large collection of hats, bonnets, headbands, flower crowns, wraps, buckets, bowls, beds, etc. I quite literally have a rainbow of items for you to use and I am always adding new things. All you have to do is bring in your baby and I will take care of the rest!

Definitely! However, I do ask that you please limit it to just one outside prop. I have a posing flow that I use for each session that results in giving you the best photos possible with the greatest variety. Incorporating too many extra props/setups can really interfere with that.
If you have multiple items that can all be used in the same photo, then that is fine! Examples would be:

- grandma’s knitted booties + bonnet + blanket

No worries! After you have booked your session, I will send a Prep Guide that is filled with information about what to expect, what to bring, what to wear, tips, the studio address, etc.

It can take up to 3 weeks following the day after your session to professionally hand edit & retouch each of your images. If you need your images sooner, there is a $200 rush fee to receive your gallery within 72 hours.

Yes! There is an additional $100 fee due to the need for a trained assistant that I require for all newborn twins/multiples. I definitely need an extra set of hands and it is very important to me that this person is trained to safely handle newborns.

In addition to newborns, I also photograph Baby Milestones (3 months-1 year) and Maternity. Family Mini Sessions are offered on a very limited basis - typically on a weekend in the spring + a weekend in the fall. I definitely recommend signing up for my newsletter so that you don’t miss out on Family Mini Session announcements!
Also, once you have become my newborn client, you are ALWAYS my client! While I do not advertise for “older” children sessions, I do offer them to my newborn clients only. I absolutely LOVE to photograph my newborn clients year after year!

I have a strict policy that I ask all clients to follow. I do not allow any sick parents, children or babies in my studio under any circumstances. I am always more than happy to reschedule due to illness!
Additionally, all props are washed or sanitized after every session. My hope for you is to feel comfortable knowing that I have taken many precautions to stay healthy & keep the studio germ free.
